2 Tank Recreational Dive
Dive in to see all the Gulf of Mexico has to offer!
We offer recreational 2-tank dive trips daily, weather permitting. Dive in to see the plentiful life the Gulf of Mexico has to offer- including sharks, turtles, hogfish, Goliath grouper, and swirling schools of baitfish. As home to one of the country’s largest artificial reef programs, our dive sites are host to an assortment of life from large to small that make every dive exciting.
There are multiple wrecks, reefs, and natural ledges that we can choose from for our dives. It’s not uncommon to be joined by pods of playful dolphins or better yet, a school of graceful eagle rays passing by.
Our recreational dive trips will take you for two dives, typically 40-60 feet in depth and Captain’s choice based on conditions. While we cannot guarantee any specific sites for a trip, we encourage our guests to add any special requests to the comments section of their reservation (i.e., Circle of Heroes).

All divers must be Open Water certified or higher. Junior Open Water divers are welcome. Please include ages of Junior Open Water divers in the comments section of your reservation so that we can select dive sites of an appropriate depth.
Be advised that certain certifications, such as PADI Scuba Diver, SDI Supervised Diver or similar require professional supervision to dive. If you hold one of these certifications, contact us for availability to hire one of our dive professionals before booking.
-
Your crew will include at least one in-water member to assist you on the surface as you prepare to start your dive. Once all divers are in the water and begin their dive, this crew member will descend and join the group for the remainder of the dive. If you would prefer to have a guide that is dedicated to diving with you for the duration of the trip without having to wait for the rest of the group, select the option to hire a “Dive Guide” when you make your reservation. Cost is $100 for one person and $50 for each additional person. There will be a maximum of four divers per dive guide.
-
For any diver joining a trip after a period of inactivity (we recommend two years, especially if you have 25 or less logged dives), we offer a refresher program that can be conducted by one of our dive professionals the day of your trip. This gives you one-on-one time with a Divemaster or Instructor, starting with a review of dive knowledge and equipment setup before the trip, as well as a personal dive guide for both dives. Cost is $175 per diver. Contact us for availability to schedule a refresher before booking.

Trip departure time is 8:00am (8:30am October-February). Please plan to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to departure. We are located at 198 Seminole Street, Clearwater FL 33755. After arriving, pay for parking using either a pay station or the ParkMobile app (Zone 9412). We normally return from our trip between 2:30-3pm.
Prior to boarding the vessel, you’ll need to check in at the front counter inside the store. Please remember to bring proof of dive certification (card or electronic).
Drinking water is provided onboard, as well as a cooler if you’d like to bring your own drinks or snacks (no glass please). All our boats are equipped with restroom facilities and there is also a restroom located inside the shop.
We recommend bringing a towel, change of clothes (something warm for our cooler winter months), and sun protection. If you’ll be using sunscreen, we encourage reef safe products such as zinc oxide or other mineral-based sunscreens. We have these available for purchase inside the shop.
If seasickness is a concern, we recommend planning ahead by taking a motion sickness preventative as early as the evening before your trip. These are most effective when taken early in advance of your time on the water.

To be fully refunded for a trip, a minimum of 72 hours’ cancellation notice is required.
Your safety and enjoyment are our top two priorities. If weather and/or conditions are deemed unsafe or unfavorable, we will cancel the trip. In this event, you will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
